Hotel Verde has just opened near the Cape Town airport. It's billed as "Africa's Greenest Hotel" and these three wind turbines are part of the energy system. There are also 100 boreholes that tap into geo-thermal energy.
What I loved most is that in the foyer there's an "International Roaming Bookshelf". Guests are asked to trade a book for one of their own. I like that. The bookshelf is near a collection of musical instruments (guitar, piano etc) which are there for you to play, anytime the mood takes you.
