My mother was a military historian who completed her PhD at the age of 69, just ten years ago. Fortunately for us she was organised and while packing up will be time consuming, its gratifying to know that if the group of private collectors who are interested in obtaining her research papers don't make us a suitable offer, there are universities and museums who will welcome the collection.
