I know it's popular to complain about international plane travel, and yes, having my luggage going missing for four days wasn't ideal, but given the distance I travelled, over the time available, it was a great deal better than the alternative.
I could have kissed the checkin clerk for the last leg. Checkin had already closed by the time customs allowed us through to local, and he took pity on me, arranging for it to be reopened, and getting me home on schedule. Well done, SAA
