@melissapike Don't worry, Melissa. Listening to some of the crowd today there are many who come to the games who don't appear to understand it either! But they are very vocal. (Actually, baseball and cricket are not that different. One team throw the ball at the other team who try to hit said ball, and then run a fixed distance. Cricket just goes on and on for much longer, although short versions of the game have been introduced to keep modern attention-deficit spectators in the stands.)
wow that's a stunning shot! got tickets for the3rd day of Eng/SA at Headingley in August. I know now I'll not get anything like this!!! In fact I think there's a ban on cameras at English test grounds.
@rich57 Ah - I'd love to watch cricket at Heddingly! Actually DSLR's have also been banned at our grounds, but I pulled a sneaky move this afternoon, and slipped in while the officious officials were trying to deal with a drunk who wanted to exit through the entrance. I suspect I'm not going to be getting this camera into the grounds again. Time to get a compact with a bigger zoom than my DSLR, I think ... :)
