The hotel nearby is renting apartments which are distributed among eight buildings with multiple floors each, but with no elevator. The apartments are designated by a capital letter for each building and by a number for each apartment inside a building. Thus, for example, you are going to live in apartment 4C. Unfortunately, the signing outside was never well developed, so that people get confused. When this designation is used, you are often called for help by desperate arriving customers pulling their luggage or by upset pizza delivery men praying you to tell them where in Heaven is apartment 4C, because they have already climbed so many stairs in vain, always to find out that they were at the right apartment position but in the wrong building. So, someone had the briliant idea to paint the main door of each building in different bright colours. Your new address becomes thus "Yellow door, first floor, on your left". That is pretty unambiguous and everyone seems to be happy know. Simple ideas can sometimes have great effects !
