This picture is not what you think it is. Only one of these two stairs is real. The other one is just the original picture rotated by 180 degrees, and I have made a seamless collage of both. And still, my brain is telling me that both stairs are real, and even that the one on the left is going “down”, while the one on the right is going “up”, which does not make any sense. Can you guess which of the two stairs is the fake upside down copy ?

I’m guessing the one on the left is the fake. Just a guess based on the fact that it looks like the black, whatever it is on the stairs, has dripped down from the top on the right hand side but dripped UP on the left hand side. No, wait, maybe it is the white stuff that has dripped down. Quite a stumper.
@gardencat HI Joanne, thanks for the comment. Your first guess is right : it is actually the black mossy stuff that has dripped down on the white cement. The right hand side represents the real stairs. Good reasoning !
