Stray cat by etienne

Stray cat

Until recently, cats could not survive here, because they would immediately get eaten by foxes. As the density of houses has increased in our neighbourhood, the population of foxes has decreased, and we now have a few stray cats around here. This youngster is quite shy, but likes to rest hidden under the ferns in a corner of our garden.

Such a lovely shot. The green ferns and the kitty's green eyes compliment each other so nicely. Love how you have filled the frame. I'm afraid if that sweet thing was hanging out in my yard I would be tempted to adopt it!

Ahh - it is cute, but I'm afraid it does seem like one predator has replaced another.
