The manor

The manor of Ballore dates back to the end of the 15th century and sits in the middle of our village. It is privately owned and inhabited, so there are no visits. Although it looks pretty in the autumn morning light, I am guessing that it must be cold, humid and dark inside. The round tower hosts the stairs to the first floor.

It's a beautifully historic sight from outside ( and what stories it must be able to tell) - but I agree with you - I don't think I'd want to live in there unless a large amount of money has been spent on the inside! You have shown us a good view of it - without the car it probably could have been taken at any time over the past few centuries. :)

Oh gosh. I'll bet you're right re the interior. Great to look at though. It would be a nightmare to heat/cool and light especially with the undoubted heritage restrictions.
