It is already exceptional to see a Ferrari parked in the street, but imagine my surprise when, in this remote corner of Ireland, I stumbled upon a Ferrari prototype powered by an electrical engine. This car is the first production of an Irish start up, which uses electrical parts coming from Elon Musk’s Tesla company in order to convert luxury cars to electrical energy. A plexiglas window has been cut in the car boot to make the electrical engine visible.
How did I stumble upon it ? Well, this unique Ferrari has been the highlight of a green life exhibit last week-end. It was put in a safe place overnight, and I met it while it was parked in front of the hotel where the driver was checking out on his way back home.
Nice photos of the car. Catchy title when you see the red car. I hope the company is successful. I drive an electric hybrid which only goes to gas when we go on vacation. If they get the infrastructure built out, I would go totally electric.
