"The plague"

It might be a right time to read or to read again “The plague” by Albert Camus. The story of the book, written in 1947, happens in a city that is kept isolated from the rest of the world because of an epidemy of plague. The book is a strong echo to our current times : the behavior of the authorities, the reactions of the population and all the personal questioning resonate strongly with what is happening right now.

I read that book again last week, 50 years after reading it for the for the first time, and I recommend the experience if you are currently short of reading ideas : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Plague
I do have a vague memory of reading it many moons ago, thanks for the link. It sure would be interesting to read it again.

I know of the book, but have never read it. For me the newspapers, radio and TV give me quite enough of plague news!
