Can you see the snail's eye ?

Snails eyes lay at the tip of their upper horns, one of them is pretty much visible on this shot. The lower horns are scenting antennas. Do you know that almost all snail shells rotate in the same direction (expanding clockwise)? Counterclockwise rotating specimens are extremely rare. For those of you living in the UK, here is a funny anecdote on this fact :

I get a lot of these in my garden especially after the first rain. I'll be on the look out for "left-handed" snails. Thanks for the link.

Until I read the link, I was wondering if snails in the Southern Hemisphere would be opposite, but apparently not. Beautiful closeup and the eye is very visible.
