The Chapel in Port-Blanc (1)

This Chapel dates from the 16th century. It is built on a slope, so the back of the Chapel is actually half buried in the ground.

Using the ground as part of the structure seems to make it very sturdy. I love how well these old structures survive the challenges of time.
