I love old photographs, and Fonville Winans took amazing ones of Louisiana, beginning in the 1930's. His studio is on the National Register of Historic Places because of the significance of his work.
"Most of my pictures, I made with one shot. It was too hard to get film on Grand Isle." What could he have done with digital?
