The skyline of Baton Rouge from the Mississippi River. The muddy grass in the foreground is usually river. Eighteen months ago the water was 40 feet higher and reached almost to the top of the levee, which was sandbagged: http://365project.org/eudora/365/2011-05-08. The Mississippi fascinates me....
Baton Rouge has a unique skyline and looks really nice. I know the Mississippi fluctuates greatly throughout the year. The Delaware River which is near me also does this, but not as drastically! However, nature does seem to know how to cope with it. Nice shot.
