Photo taken in Plaquemine, Louisiana, on the west bank of the Mississippi. A pleasant place to watch the river traffic, it is quieter and not as industrialized as Baton Rouge. The river takes a big curve north of Plaquemine and the tugs have to maneuver their strings of barges around the curve. Plus, it is a beautiful day!
