Four Ladies by eudora

Four Ladies

Each stalk produces four of these showy flowers at the same time. This is a pass-along plant given to me by a friend, who didn't know its name.
I think it is an amaryllis and a very beautiful one at that! Fantastic detail to the shot!

@grammyn Ohh, OK. I'm more familiar with amaryllis as an indoor winter plant. It has come back for two springs, but it hasn't spread like my friend's plants have. Thanks for your comments.

Is it a bulb plant? Sometimes they take a few years to start reproducing. You are right about it being an indoor plant usually but it looks and sounds like one for sure. Maybe your milder winter lets it grow outside!

Wow, these are absolutely beautiful! I love how deep the red is and the touches of white. Great picture!

Beautiful. I also have them outside in my garden. This year we got many more, which proves they are reproducing.
