We have a squirrel-proof bird feeder, but the cardinals are a little big for it. I put some seed on the deck, knowing the squirrel would probably find it first. He did. That's OK, though he's looking a little chubby. Our new neighborhood is full of animal lovers who feed the birds, squirrels and community cats.
