An old barn shot with an old lens

This barn has always intrigued me because I'm not sure about that pointed thing on the ground. I guess it was a cupola that sat in the middle of the roof?
A day to play with lenses, Shot with a Focal 80-200 manual lens given to me by a friend of Ann Lefevre's along with a Pentax ME film camera.
