My husband and I got up early to take one of our feral cats to the vet. Seemed like a good idea. Catch whichever one seemed most docile and get vaccinations and maybe a quick physical exam. Our vet treats feral cats and was agreeable, but Evander and Elvira were not. After several attempts and more than a few scratches, I gave up trying to get one of them into the cat carrier (pretreated with a calming spray, if only they'd given it a chance.) Their rabies shots are good for two more years. We'll keep working on taming them.
BTW by dinnertime they had either forgotten the episode or forgiven me.
