Oklahoma City National Memorial

I forgot the exact, horrific numbers and had to look it up. There are 168 symbolic chairs to commemorate the 168 victims who died; 19 were children. Several hundred more were injured.

We first visited at night, an incredibly moving experience. We returned during the day and also toured the museum.
This is one most moving and poignant memorials that I've ever been privileged to see. Your capture lets its strength and grace shine. Fav!

@joysabin I agree about this memorial. I often think of it and the bombing even though we've had so many more acts of terrorism. I have not been able to visit the 9-11 memorial. Thanks for the fav.

Your visit reminds me of the feeling we had visiting the Vietnam and Korean War Memorials in Washington D. C. at night- haunting, moving, sorrowful- such strong emotions. The empty chairs are a very powerful statement about the lives which were lost.

Yes, quite an experience to visit. The small chairs are heart-breaking.
