I was in the orchard for some inspiration this morning; looking at all of the leaves, hoping something would jump out and say "Hey! I'm awesome, photograph me!" When that didn't happen, I decided to go home. As I ducked my head to avoid beaning myself on a low branch, I saw this sap on the tree. There were several large globs of it, so the tree must have borers of some kind.
This glob had such interesting color as though the light was coming from within.
Haha! I so relate to your 'Hey I'm awesome....' But this is lovely. Being a sap it can't jump out at you but you captured it so well. I guess in times long ago this is how insects got caught up in amber.

Love how you let nature guide you, sometimes its subtle(like this find) and others its just so vivid you can't ignore it. Fav! There is so much to explore in this image.
