After about seven weeks of rain, we finally had a day of sun. My Guy and I took the bike up into the mountains for a quick ride in the afternoon. We found out that my warm weather gear was not, in fact, as warm as it needed to be! Nevertheless, we had a fantastic time. There was very little traffic for a weekday. We both commented on how peaceful and quiet it was...and we live in a quiet and peaceful village! The rain has made everything green, and the reservoirs are either full or more full than I have ever seen them. For a country that continually struggles with water rationing, this is a blessing.
I spied this lone tree on the mountainside as we were turning to go home. I loved the simplicity of the composition and the lovely light of the beginning of the sunset.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Thank you so much! It has been a crazy winter here. We have had sooooo much rain! 483mm (19") in 7 weeks, although everyone in our village agrees that we have gotten more than that.
