Asparagus Soup Precursor

This is what I found down in the garden while looking for our Winston dog who had gone on a wander sans human.

He was found munching on the apparently much tastier grass beside the chicken coop.

Love the shallow depth of field, it really brings out the colours and shapes

Nice choice for a fine focus! Winston has an objective in mind - eat some grass then bring it back up again!

Lovely strong splash of cheery colour.

FAVulous. Is it really an asparagus plant?

@blueace Thank you so much! That softness is what drew me to this image.

@maggiemae Thank you very much! We have the oddest dogs; all of them eat our lemongrass as though it were a steak. However, rarely do they bring it back up. As Winston is the shortest, I think he just wanted some small dog height grass!

@helenhall Thank you so much! My mom wants me to paint it for her living room.

@skstein Thank you so very much! Yes, it is. My sister planted regular asparagus in the garden last year. They are all going to seed, which is making us all very happy. Wild asparagus grows abundantly here. The stems are very thin and dark green. It is fried and mixed with scrambled eggs as a very common dish in the Spring and Summer.
