Chili Tears by evalieutionspics

Chili Tears

When I was a little girl...LITTLE GIRL...we were visiting my great-grandmother. She was called GG. One afternoon, I was put on GG's bed for a nap. I wasn't terribly excited about being made to take a nap, so I decided to explore. First I examined the nubbly texture of GG's bedspread, then I examined the treasures on the dresser. That is where I ran into trouble. GG had a dish of chili peppers drying in the sun on the top of her dresser. I liked the color of those peppers, so I started playing with them. Then I had to go to the bathroom...you can guess what happened then. Of course, I couldn't let my mama know I had gotten into GG's things, so I tried to be quiet, but then I rubbed my eyes...and you can guess what happened then. After a little while, Mama and GG heard my sad little cries and rescued me. This is one of my most vivid memories. It certainly gave me a healthy respect for chilis.
Quite a story!! but a beautiful shot. Love the sparkle! fav

I love with no reserves the refraction of the chili along the margin of the drop. The starburst is an icing on a cake that's already full of flavour! Now I will go and wash my hands... ;-)

Lovely shot. I agree with Domenico about the red reflection around the edge of the drop.

@Cherrill Thank you so much!

@joysabin Thank you very much! As soon as I saw the image on my PC, I remembered those chilis and could see the sunlight streaming through the window and feel the heat from those chilis. I knew I had to share it.
