Yesterday as I was heading toward the spider web and before I got to the praying mantis, I almost stepped on this guy. Then I saw the mantis and said, "He's moving pretty slow, I'll come back for him. Yup, he was moving pretty slow...he was dead. That's about as slow as it gets! So I put him on a pretty rock in front of some dead leaves. He doesn't look half bad! Is that a creepy thing to say? This is what I was working on if my plan for today didn't materialize.
@dkbarnett Thank you! I agree, he does look pre-historic! This is the second one I have found, the other also dead. I know there must be living ones around and would love to see them rooting around in their natural habitat so to speak.
