Sunset Fluff by evalieutionspics

Sunset Fluff

ast night as I passed by the patio door to the courtyard, I saw what looked like a gaggle of dragonflies hovering in my stephanotis. Thinking that was a bit odd, I decided to go a bit closer. When I walked around the table, I saw that the dragonflies were really the seeds of my stephanotis. The seed pod is about the size and shape of an avocado and I hadn't noticed it all the times I have been out smelling the flowers in the evenings. It must have just dried out enough to break open yesterday so that all of the seeds could spill out and fly away. Taking the photos was a bit difficult as my macro lens is slow to focus and the wind was blowing, but I like the colors. Julia is going to take some seeds and do her green thumb magic with them.
