This is the view from our front porch in West Virginia. A red-tailed hawk couple has a nest in the larger of the light colored trees across the way. They have been there or near there for years. I have gotten a lot of enjoyment over the years watching the youngsters learn how to hunt in the pasture and then throughout the hollow as they got more proficient.
@maggiemae Thank you! Actually, there is a dirt road right on the other side of that fence that is currently overrun with well-drilling traffic! We used to see maybe 5 vehicles a day, and only the trash truck at night once a week. Now the traffic is constant! I don't know how I will adapt to it when we move back permanently.
