This is one of the 3 baby cardinals that were nesting outside my dining room window. I watched the babies try to fly and leave the nest yesterday, and this morning the nest is empty. Mom and Dad are chipping away from the oriental maple tree, so I hope the family is intact and has relocated where they have more privacy.
what a beautiful capture of this baby bird. I hope they are all ok. Love the little quiff on its head. Hard to imagine this little bird might one day be red all over.
