This "squirrel proof" bird feeder is looking a bit beat up these days. I find it down on the ground occasionally -- probably from raccoons at night. This is the first time that I have actually seen the chipmunk climb up the tree and feed at the trough.
Those look like rather full cheeks! Such a cute shot. Wish we had some chipmunks here - just the squirrels who are busy stripping the pecan tree (easier to eat before they ripen I guess). You may not see him at first - just watch for the outer shell pieces to fall from the tree! :)
