It rained early this morning. My feet, shoes, and cuffs of my pants were drenched in smelly NYC rain water. Ick. Should've worn rain boots.
I'm not in a bad or sad mood. More like a weird mental space today but I feel good. However, this melancholy song is in my head today:
"It won't rain all the time.
The sky won't fall forever.
And though the night seems long,
your tears won't fall
your tears won't fall
forever."
~Jane Siberry
@snaphappy1 yep. yep. The stairs on the 1 train going downtown at 23rd street were nasty. On the landing between two sets of stairs, there was (not even exaggerating) two inches of water. I had to traverse it, submerging my new $2 shoes in that nasty ass water. But at least the $2 shoes were only $2...
Really nice POV and I like the way you caught that ceiling in the arch. The lighted end of the tunnel looks pretty cool with the trees and red sculpture. There are some interesting sights downtown. Nice one!
@tonydebont the pop of red is what caught my eye too. Thanks for the visit :)
@jean_willis thank you for your visit and comment!
@michaelelliott never seen this at night. Must look transformed.
@adamj I had taken pics of just the ceiling in the arch but it looked boring. I thought the inclusion of the background gave it more of an interesting context. Am glad that I was able to get enough light to illuminate the ceiling.
@snaphappy1 hello and thanks, stranger! I should've worn the rain boots.
But if it was for somebody else, then let them have it!
