Don't you love those days when you just get shit DONE? Am having a super productive day today. But because the holidays tend to be stressful for everyone, this makes the kind of work I do a little bit more taxing than other times of the year. The population I work with... Well, let's just say most people -- society, friends, even family -- have given up on them.
This Thanksgiving while most of us have family to visit or friends to see, most of my guys do not. Work with them can be emotional and heavy but beautiful and so so rewarding.
Anyway...I had a lot more I wanted to say and share...but some thoughts are just best kept to oneself.
WOAH! One needs sunglasses to view this photo! I know what you mean. I used to work with a population that could be counted on to create drama the day before a holiday vacation began.
is that the holiday stress bar graph? I feel it coming on already...i have many people in my family that like to great that drama and i have been working hard not to get caught up in it. Deep breathing helps. hope you day was a good one. 90% complete...you are almost there!
@sunshinephoto5 haha yes it could work as the holiday stress bar graph. Yep 90% complete. Not too much more to go. And...once...I tried deep breathing and relaxation techniques with a client and while I began to feel relaxed as I demonstrated how to do it, they almost hyperventilated... Almost. It was scary and bizarre and, dare I say, amusing....
