So, I might might just have a thing for musicians. Drummers, especially. Why? Because I don't have a musical bone in my body. Except for maybe my husband's. BA DUM TSSSSHHHH. lol. cwutididthar??

A long time ago I dated a guy who had "perfect pitch". He could play the sax. Sooo saxy. God someone please stop me. No, wait, don't. I'm amusing myself far too much. Lol.

But if you play the piano or guitar (hopefully well) ...I might just fall in love with you for a quick minute. You've been warned.

But...alas...I'm lifelong "groupie" to one musician in particular. And I quite like it. :) There's always beautiful music in my home, always other musicians around who play all different types of genres...and I get front seats to pretty good shows. Can't complain.
LOL LOL! very cool pov! Love me some sax too! Back in the day I was a groupie for a band that played at a bar on Bleeker, the bar was called Preachers back then lol! Wow that was a long time ago.

@sunshinephoto5 gotta love a bar with the name like Preachers. Ahhh Bleecker street. In college, my boyfriend's band made all the girlfriends band members pass out flyers to their shows on the streets of Greenwich Village. I think their logic was something like that most people won't refuse a flyer from a decent looking college coed. Lol. I like in that movie "Almost Famous" how Kate Hudson said it's not groupies, but band aids ;). Sounds like you had fun in your band aid days!

Now Miles Davis I know! Super focal usage. I dig the way the notes seem to lift off the page.

@adamj oh honey when good music is played, all notes lift off the page.
November 27th, 2013
@fauxtography365 I'm feelin it.

@adamj but do you really? ;) I'm more of a hip hop girl and I do have an affinity for grunge/alternative music (as was the popular music in my late high school and college days). I've been to many a show, where I've felt it. Ahh such a good feeling. But since we're (well I am) talking jazz in this pic, one of the best jazz shows I've seen was Chick Correa at the Blue Note about 8-9 years ago. It's like this guy breathes in and what he exhales is beautiful, flawless piano playing. Totes awesome.

Haha I love the puns. I like the dof i this shot. Cool pic!

I'm not a huge jazz/blues fan, but as an aspiring drummer I fully recognize that this music is often where the true challenge/talent lies. That being the case, my drum teacher has been increasing my appreciation for this genre.

Oh yeah, and very cool picture, with the focal point in the middle and the interesting PoV. A great demonstration of photographic talent is in making ordinary objects or scenes into interesting/amazing pictures.

@mikeable hey thanks! I know a lot of drummers. In my experience, seems like they are technical geeks when it comes to their craft lol. A lot of people automatically think of Neil Peart when they think of great drummers when there are so many different types of great drummers.

I can't drum for shit lol. I tried to do a simple paradiddle and that was a mess...
