Project 365, Class of 2013

Ha. I didn't know what to title this. Was gonna post this shot for today instead: http://flic.kr/p/iKk

I took a shot similar to the one posted above back in July: http://365project.org/fauxtography365/365/2013-07-20

Much colder today. And I'm not entirely happy with it. But I think in six months I'll go back and try this again. As they say...If at first you don't succeed, try try try again and all that. :)

Are you different today than you were six months ago? Last year? In some ways, I am...some ways, I'm not.

I don't know what I'm going to take for my final shot of 2013. Probably not gonna be an awesome shot as I'll be traveling during the morning and then at a party that evening. So I'll be phoning it in here but probably posting a better pic on my Flickr after the New Year. Haven't planned what to capture, but I expect it'll be anticlimactic in some way. But, hey...that's kind of how I roll. I don't make a big commotion when I enter a place, nor when I leave it.

But I always hope to leave some type of impression...

Thanks, all, for looking at my pictures and reading my random and long ramblings! And congrats to my fellow 365ers who will also be completing their first (or second or third) year tomorrow!
excellent texture and DOF, great shot Ms T

Cool shot. I am actually waiting on my last few pics of the year. I guess I am "cheating" because they will actually be taken after the new year, but I am going to fill them into my empty December dates. I am going to Vegas tomorrow and will be traveling to Arizona, too, and I just feel like I will get better pictures out there for my last few than I will from anything I take here. Still not sure what to do for my last pic, either. As much as I enjoyed it, I am definitely ready to be done with this for a while.

I like this shot...love your road pic too, lots of texture. It's an odd feeling...finishing a year of anything, expecting the last day to somehow reflect the gravity of the accomplishment. I like your point of view, about ending it how you began...very apropos. There's something so personal about 365 days...slices, moments of your life, captured and put out for the world to judge. Congrats on your first year, and good luck on your next challenge!

I actually love this shot...fits into my style too to a certain extent - close-up, different pov and B&W.

365 is very enjoyable but it is also very committing...I do admire you and people like you who actually manage to do a whole 365 at a stretch. I have been around here intermittently since 2 years ago - in 2011 I stopped 6 weeks short of 1 year but I had been lagging behind for 4 months at least - this year I did try again but gave up after 5 months - my busy schedule and life always gets in the way!

So give yourself a huge pet on the back Ms T as it's a big achievement! Enjoy whatever you decide to go for next...will miss your shots and your captions! :))

@04haze thanks, Lee! Also appreciate the stealthy fav ;)

@islandk8 thanks, Katie! Looking forward to your Vegas pictures. Am also looking for a nice break from here too.

@kirtcarter thanks, Kirt! Love poignant comments like yours. Couldn't have said it any better. Nutty, right? Sorry I just cannot stop with that lol.

@jpgiorgio thanks, JP. I hesitated going with the b&w shot as my shot yesterday was also mono. But I went with this one. Glad you like.

@jpgiorgio @kirtcarter @islandk8 @04haze and good luck to all of you in whatever endeavors you pursue! Looking forward to watching your work whether it's on 365 or elsewhere!!

Ef yeah I am different!! Not the space to spew, but I'll share anytime you are interested. I like this. It's about as low a perspective as one can get. That horizon line is very cool.

@adamj thanks, Adam. Always willing to listen whenever you want to share. You know how to reach me :)

@adamj um, sure. Smoke signals would be better, dude.

Nice shot. Fits this gloomy day. I'm not putting the pressure on myself for the last shot. I tend not to plan what I'm going to shoot. So why should tomorrow be any different?

Love the texture of that wood. As for changes, in my mind I haven't changed but my body constantly reminds of the 73 years of wear and neglect. I can still get about but it just takes longer to get there.

@mcmary thanks, Mary! Hope you have a Happy New Year!

@tonydebont it's interesting how our bodies and minds can age differently. Thanks for the comments as always!

Last shot suggestion: Eyes. We've received many an eyeful of you but not of your eye. Even just one. It'd be a nice capstone to your project.

Great detail and wood texture. Yes you have made an impression and have made 365 much more enjoyable. Thank you for the wonderful discussions and photos

@timerskine ahhh maybe I'll post a picture of my eyes sometime next year ;). They are very boring btw. Is why I never take pics if them.

@tosee thank you, Tom. Have always enjoyed your input. Happy New Year to you!
