...and I felt like I went back in time. Everyone else but me in this train car (oddly there were only 5 of us) was reading a book. An actual book. Like it was 1997, not 2017. No smartphones or kindles or tablets.
It smelled like someone was eating an orange on the train. Yet...no one was. Not complaining though. Could have been way worse.
In other news... someone recently said to me, "Sometimes you're this articulate and professional woman...and other times you're almost like a teenager, all giggly and cursing."
Then I said, "That sounds....kinda nuts actually."
He said I was/am "fascinating".
I'm not sure. I think he was calling me nuts... or insulting me...
@tonydebont I thought maybe the citrus smell was that someone cleaned it...but I don't think that was it. It was pretty clean though. As for the "compliment", I think it's all in tone and inflection and the right kind of pause. He said, "no no you're....fascinating."
@grizzlysghost lol no but if he did then I could confidently say he's nuts... bwahahaha.
yay for books, maybe they are making a comeback
he def has the hots for you... he wants to make you giggle but he has been taught to respect women...
it doesnt sound nuts to me, you are well rounded if you can pull both of those off. ...
@kali66 definitely yay for books. :) I guess I chose to see his words in a different way...because it sounded more Jekyll and Hyde to me lol
@domenicododaro I think I will almost always prefer a real tangible book instead of a tablet... although when traveling, it is nice and less cumbersome to have all your books in one electronic device. And it seems the consensus is, it was a compliment. :)
