Wish I had taken this with the DSLR instead but the phone will have to do today.
So....I sprained my iliopsoas. AKA the hip flexor. I don't know how the fuck it happened. Was sitting on the couch last night and crossed my legs and then felt the pain.
I know I don't stretch my hip flexors well enough after a run or a workout. And they often feel tight. So maybe this injury was coming...
But now I'm in pain and can't really move the lower right side of my body/leg. I'm super pissed because I couldn't workout today and probably won't be able to workout tomorrow. I HATE that.
And I hate having to ask my husband to get me things or do things for me because I can't move. But he's been great about it.
So I'll keep complaining while I nurse my injury and become a tubby lard lol. Things could be worse though. Always a bright side to everything, right?
Sorry you're hurting. You noted a while back about your age. You are experiencing what a lot of people over the age of 35 begin to note: sometimes you sustain an injury for no reason whatsoever, including in your sleep.
Ibuprofen is your friend. Keep taking it until the pain is really gone...it's always easier to stay ahead of it than trying to catch up.
