My computer ran out of memory today and this meant I had to wade through piles of photographs and delete wherever possible. I came across some old tree pictures so added them into some recent ones to form the above.
Ours did that a couple of years ago. I bought a Synology NAS (Network Attached Storage) with a couple of 3Tb drives. Still cull photos don't want/need though.
@phil_sandford Thanks so much, that's really kind of you. I did have an external hard drive but somehow managed to corrupt that, and also managed to do the same with a USB stick. Don't think computers and I are suited somehow! Off now to check out your link:)
Isn't that just annoying - mine ran out of memory and I had 25,000 photos!! took them all off and back them to two external hard drives! This is a beautiful collage - if I had to chose a favourite it would be the second from the left. Fav

i don't store anything on the PC, other than software.. all images are on two x 2TB external hard drives. That way i have two copies. in order to keep the numbers down i do cull quite heavily..
the way my PC responds to Microsoft updates i wouldn't dare keep anything on it.
@megpicatilly Thanks for your comments - don't know how many are on there still but it's about 10 years worth spread over a desk computer, a laptop and assorted USB sticks. The computer has lost data twice and I started storing to an external hard drive. Somehow that became corrupted and I also gave the kiss of death to the latest USB stick
Don't think technology and I are suited sometimes!! Yes, I like the morning light one too:)
Lovely collage. My favourites are second from the left and far right. Think we've all been through the lack of memory. Like most others I save to an external hard drive, and I never delete my SD cards. But, lets face it, anything can fail at any time, so we're never 100% safe.
@cmsch52 Thanks Carol:). You"be picked the two oldest photos too, prob my favourites as well. I'm just looking on any loss of photos now an excuse to take new ones. Most of my old pics are pretty rubbish anyway!
