Making a Splash

Should have been called Making a Mess because it certainly did that!

I've been meaning to have a go at this for ages and today I finally did. The best fun, and highly recommended:)

Tip if you've not done this - don't do what I tried to do for ages and delicately drop the objects into water, get frustrated and throw them in, you get way more bubbles and dramatic effect!
Well done capturing the movement in the water :)

Great collection of shots. I've never tried it but must give it a go now the warmer weather is here.

Looking at your fabulous results i will take your advice to heart. i think bathroom or kitchen for this messy job.. What did you use to hold the water??
i really like your tetraptych, it's super effective..

@hermann Thanks very much - not as easy as I thought it was going to be!
@paulaw Thank you! It really was great fun and I got very wet:)
@jorlam That's so kind, thank you:). I was given a spare 2ft aquarium when a couple of fish I had went into breeding mode. I've been meaning to try this for ages and was trying to get friends to come round and drop fruit in the water. Today I had a go at focussing then dropping peppers with one hand and holding the burst button down with the other. Can't remember how many I had to delete that just were shots of an empty tank!

What did you use and aquarium?

@tonygig @gamelee Thanks so much!
@royrj Thanks very much Roy, if you know what you're doing with a camera I guess this would be a lot easier but I'm still getting to grips with Manual mode. But it was worth it, feel I learned something!
June 15th, 2017
Love this shot - another one on my too do list, I too need to still master my camera! :)
