Thanks for the clipping, really adds understanding to the little houses. There must be something really out of kilter in the housing market in lots of countries, including here. House prices have gone stratospheric and young people are struggling while foreigners buy up houses and units and neither occupy nor rent them.
Nice capture. The commentary pretty much sums up the UK housing market it's become something for those with money to make more money and no longer for families to make homes :(
@kwind@golftragic@jclaireyp@littleconnie@rjb71@tonygig@hermann@salza@bkbinthecity@lovingandsharing Thanks very much for your comments, it's very interesting to gauge the reactions of others. At first it appeared to be a very frivolous exhibit but it does have a message if you look below the surface. Very sad state of affairs. All of the little houses are identical except for their colours. Thanks for your thoughts. @robz Thanks Rob, oh good, does that mean you'll be taking part in the challenge? Do hope so:)
Another facet of the crazy housing diamond is that most people here refuse to live in something "smaller". They want BIG even if there's only two people in the household. Our neighbor across the street is a good example of that. Larger house with 3 bedrooms and only two people. The prices around here range from ridiculous to "under water" (which means you can't sell it for what you bought it for but instead far less than that). What a kooky mixed-up place we live in! The fun thing about this shot is the people. It also reminds me I've got to get busy on the one you posted for wwyd!
@olivetreeann Think the world would be a much nicer place if people weren't so obsessed with how much and how many things they own. It's only stuff at the end of the day. Personal rant over! Oh good, so pleased you're going to have a go at WWYD, look forward to seeing it (them).
@robz Thanks Rob, oh good, does that mean you'll be taking part in the challenge? Do hope so:)
@radiogirl @suesouthwood @psychographer @pdulis Thank you, they fascinate me but I expect you've guessed that by now:)
