@homeschoolmom I think that was the little yellow one on top of the cliffs - the little pink one sits on a pontoon in the harbour and the little orange one at the end of the pier was one of the last to arrive:) I shall miss them if and when they are removed - the little yellow one was dismantled some while ago.
@helenhall Yes, the artist is Richard Woods and his work featured in the last Folkestone Triennial in 2017. The little houses dotted around in random locations were meant to emphasise the shortage of affordable homes in the area.
I love this sweet shot! What an interesting way to make a statement about the lack of affordable housing. It seems like everyone has that problem. If only we could figure out how to distribute wealth a little more fairly. I know how but I don't think anyone is interested in letting me rule the world!
I like this a lot -- I like the meaning behind the small houses and what they remind people to think about. I wonder if you'd cropped out the third pole, keeping both houses, if you'd have the composition you wanted but with 2 birds instead of 3. I sort of like 2 birds, 2 houses, 2 posts.
Those little Richard Woods houses are always so striking. This is a lovely shot full of life and colour. I like @taffy's idea - I think that crop would work well.
@taffy Thanks for that, it's a very valid point. Will have to get out of the mindset of thinking in threes - I was fixated on the three seagulls on the three posts (before one flew off, that was)!
It's A FAV!
