My Get Pushed partner this week, Sally, @salza, challenged me to take a picture of something in the kitchen or bathroom in a unique way.
The above is a photo of a new Bird of Paradise leaf with the sun shining through it and the shadow of a cheese grater falling on the back of the leaf. Every time I photograph one of these new leaves I marvel at the little 'building blocks' that make up its structure. The grater shadow is playing a supporting role here!
@salza. Hi Sally, another response to your challenge. This was fun. The problems I had were holding the grater steady and my phone camera at the same time, coupled with the sun every few minutes disappearing behind the clouds:)
I would love to witness the madness in your kitchen! This is a fabulous creative shot, the brickwork is shown beautifully, isn't it wonderful how you notice things when you actually take the time to look.
@suzanne234 You do make me smile! Thanks so much, and yes, had never seen details as I do now since I started this project. My kit hen is rather like bedlam - I was washing up yesterday and taking pictures of the bubbles forming on the cheese grater ...
A very pretty leaf.
