My Get Pushed partner this week, Debbie, challenged me to produce a picture using in camera multiple exposure. My Nikon D3200 has image overlay so I used that instead.
I didn't have a clue what to aim for, but my neighbour has just renewed her flag in the garden and it was fluttering well in the wind. Originally I wanted to overlay it with a picture of a bulldog (typically British) but couldn't think of anyone who owned one, and you don't see them everyday. I then thought of the White Cliffs of Dover but the Battle of Britain site at Capel was much nearer. I have used this site before with multiple exposure but this time I used colour and 4 images. The first image was the Memorial Plaque, followed by the statue of the young airman looking over the Channel, then the flag and finally another overlay of the Plaque to make sure the lettering came out. I then trimmed it (out of camera) to make it look tidier.
I had forgotten how difficult these are to do - the worst problem was finding a flag that covered most of the final image and a picture of the statue to show his profile that was the right size to marry with the other images.
@deborah63 Hi Debbie, here's my offering this week, hope you like it! Felicity @stevepo Hi Steve, I'm sorry I set you this challenge last week (but you did a brilliant job) - I'd forgotten how flipping fiddly they can be.
@casablanca My camera has an Image Overlay function and you just tell it which pictures to use basically. Main problem is getting the right selection of pictures! It's fiddly but fun when you manage to get it nearly right:)
