Neglected

Never noticed this door until a few days ago - I've been driving past it for the last twenty years!
For the past 20 years and now you noticed it. So cool how nature took over - nice shot!

If doors could tell stories...
Was there a view through the grill?

@ribelmay Doesn't say much for my powers of observation does it!

That is a door with some tales to tell. Nice find (in the end)

@stevepo I must confess I don't know. I think it was very overgrown inside but I will have to check. The path was very narrow and the road was busy so I didn't hang around too long!

@fbailey Haha well this is indeed a tunnel vision story. When you think you know everything about a place and it seems to be your wrong. But I will take a look at my road to work now, to see if I am overlooking some things aswell - then it will be for you to laugh at me ;]

It makes a great photo-and I bet it could tell some tales.

It looks like it might have been a very nice door once upon a time. Now the next shot will have to show us what is on the other side!

I think a few wee mice have been able to get in and out of this poor door!

Photography makes you pay more attention to the ordinary which is often very extraordinary.

What a great door!

What a cool door! It looks really old and I, having lived in this neck of the woods for 30+ years, have never noticed it either. Where is it?

Well spotted. Photography always makes you see the world differently doesn't it. I love the textures.

Whatever's behind it is either making a bid for freedom or holding it all together ;) Fabulous old door, huge too

Nice to run into things that you've been looking at "forever" and suddently "see" them.

What a great find. I wonder what is behind there.

Wonderful find. Well spotted. Love the ivy (or whatever) stems climbing up the door.

@redandwhite It's just by the side of the main entrance to Kearsney Abbey - just opposite the turning to Temple Ewell:)
