I suspect the enthusiastic welcome I received as I strolled past his field was based on the expectation of food, but he seemed happy to settle for a fuss:)
Oh he looks like he has had his hair crimped. What a fine looking horse. And yes, I agree with others, very suited to the black and white presentation.
@granagringa The lens is a vintage Nikon Micro Nikkor lens and it won't show any more info. It's a manual only lens and has been converted from film to digi. It took a lot of getting used to but now I use it in preference to anything else. It's even survived being dunked in the river when I knocked the tripod over :)
