Stillness and Quiet in the Cairngorms

This was quite unlike most of the forests we saw in Scotland, it was a still quiet moment while we ate our lunch on the way to Aviemore. I was longing to walk through those birches but alas a fence was in my way and farmers up there might have guns..?!
Think I might turn it B&W one day but I'm uploading enough today as it is :}
So grateful for all the feedback I've had today - a week is the longest I've been away from my project but we didn't stop taking shots - only about 900 I think! - and am trying to upload without being a feed-hogger! Your views and comments are always so generous, thank you :)
Glad you didn't cross the fence. Very nice capture; I would had also liked to explore there.

Lovely. It's so peaceful. It also looks as if it would be great in BW.

Lovely woodland scene. Pity we will be unable to see lots more of your holiday shots, but I don't think you will fit the other 800+ in!

Very lovely shot, Phil! :) Love the green grass in the trees. It's quite picturesque! Did you know that in Edinburgh that it's legal to shoot someone with a bow and arrow still??? So I'd be careful if you ever went there! Well done on this shot. The grass looks so soft.
