A further batch of chicks hatched and the lone chick who spent the night under the light was reunited with this hen, who seems quite capable of keeping her brood warm. Eleven babes are underneath her. She is giving me the evil eye because I rounded them all up and separated them from the other poultry. She was not at all happy that her peeps were disappearing one after the other. But then she got to join them. Liam and I were a tad late for dinner in Baltimore, but we got there and he caught his plane He'll be back in July and the peeps will probably be laying their own eggs by then.
Oh this is so adorable. Super pov. Have to show this to my niece and my nephews, as the call me "clucking hen", because I'm apparently a bit overprotective as aunt. ;-)
