A Very Beautiful, Very Shy Fellow by glimpses

A Very Beautiful, Very Shy Fellow

A huge, gorgrous horse; not my usual far, eh? Yes, I do love to photograph all kinds of things, not just flowers and bees. This is "Sham". We played a delightful game of "hide and seek" from the barn; he was too shy (or wary) to come out into the paddock.
What a beautiful shot.......he looks shy and thoughtful........a faithful old friend

@mjmaven Your generous words are much appreciated. I absolutely love this picture, not only is it SOOC, but it is my first serious attempt at a NEW subject. More to come, I'm sure. Be well, Les

@mwarren365 Thanks so much Mike. On the cutting room floor (as Bill D. would say :) are lots of nose shots, ear shots, half shots, and near misses, becuase Sham kept ducking in and out out the barn. LOL I finally cought a couple of good ones after backing way up and zooming in on him. This one is SOOC except for the frame. Isn't the barn a prize?! Gotta love barns! :) Be very well, Les

@maggie2 Many, and lots of thanks, Maggie! I have to admit, I am in love with this shot, proud of it too (SOOC except for the frame.) I don't know a thing about horses, (except that I have always thought they are magnificent, thrilling, gorgeous animals ) so this shot was far from easy to get. Horses are a completely new subject for me (this is my first attempt!!), so I have a lot to learn: perspectives, lighting, anticipating their movements, etc. Thanks as always for checking in, xLes

@aspada Hi Amy, and thanks so much for taking the time for such a generous comment; and it's always a thrill to hear from someone new. We played a lot of "hide and seek" before I got this shot. He was reluctant to come out into the paddock while I was there, so I had to back very far off and then zoom way in. It worked! Hope you are having a great weekend, Les
