The towering masts belong to the Charles W. Morgan, the last wooden whaleship IN THE WORLD! Built in 1841, requiring a crew of 35, she had an 80 yr whaling history that included 37 voyages, the longest taking 4 yrs. She's been to every continent, and docked in places like: the Fiji Islands, Tahiti, Congo, Cape Town, the Azores, Russia, Japan, Auckland, Sydney, and so many more. Her permanent home is at Mystic Seaport in Connencticut, USA, which is a 17 acre "living history museum". The village recreates coastal living in new England in the 19th century.
