I used this to depict man's enduring fascination with sunlight and glass. I wish it was a stunning crystal chandelier, but it's just an SOOC macro of a glass doorknob in the light of sunset. I was headed out the door when I saw the gorgeous warm tones that highlighted all the little details, and it was like seeing it for the first time. Having only moments of this light, I raced for my camera.
Greetings! I'm from Connecticut (USA) Photography is one of my lifelong passions (others including gardening, woodworking, history, and being a part...
LOVE this photo! And those doorknobs . . we lived in an old colonial house once that had these on every door. Great macro shot, Les. Love the golden tones.
@fmphoto A HUGE hello Fran from a nearby neighbor! Thanks so much for stopping to look and comment. So psyched to be following a neighbor............love your shore photos.........and Welcome to "365"! It is an awesome, generous, humorous, supportive, and mega-talented community. :-D (SOOC means: Straight Out Of Camera, unedited. That's how I like to shoot, since I'd rather be out taking photos than editing; if I've altered a photo, indicate as much.) You have MADE my day (not the Clint Eastwood way hee hee.) Be seeing you....take care, Les
@winshez sorry for the delay, but thank you very much. Ttook a quick cruise through your "365" and there's a lot of interest there. Love your creativity and all the colors - and you the caught the "splash! - I'm jealous. :-) Be seeing you, Les
@nicolecampbell Hey, thanks Nicole; that's a really wonderful comment. :-) I love to show ordinary things in an extra-ordinary or unusaul way. That's exactly what makes my photography such a personal thing; I'm showing others how I see the world around me; thanks for appreciating that. All my best, Les x
@karenann Lots of thanks Karenann - Aren't glass doorknobs the BEST (the old ones, now thery're made of acrylic -bleh!!) I tossed a fit when one one of my landlords once wanted to replace them so that I would have doors in the house that I could lock (because one of them do.) They stayed . BIG :-) All my best, Les x
