Greetings! I'm from Connecticut (USA) Photography is one of my lifelong passions (others including gardening, woodworking, history, and being a part...
@nicolecampbell Thanks Nic; you are such a dearheart. And thanks so much for the wonderful compliment about my "selfie." I decided to try to take a nice "Garden selfie" to give to my mom for her upcoming birthday. I think I have one that she will like. :))) yAnd ou BET I'm happy out there, with Zinnias over 6 ft. tall, Cleome stretching 8 ft., and Tomato plants fro 8 to 11 ft. tall!! Anything that loves the heat is off the charts; it's been a beastly hot, sunny summer. And I am able to water everything when needed. Thanks again, Les xx
@brumbe Super-great to hear from you Paula; thanks for stopping by. (The REAL drama was that I met up with our neighborhood skunk when I was photographing this in my Garden. I had to wait forEVER for him to finish rooting around, sometimes coming within 3 ft. of me!!! Actually, they're fine and pretty good-natured unless they're startled or threatened. I did neither. :)))) Take care, Lesx
@glimpses It seems I am here to post and run lately. Oh with skunks I once had white dogs who got sprayed and tomato juice turned them pink. The vet told me to use Massengil on them, and it worked wonders. Just imagine buying that in the 12 pack though.
@glimpses - I am envious of your garden. My is just starting to grow now and I planted more plants on the weekend. I have an English Cottage garden in my front yard and when it is all in flower it looks stunning. I try to plant new plants each month, especially if they are in flower so that the garden looks nice all year round. Your mum will love her present. Have a good day, Nic x
@brumbe OMG Paula! I almost split my spleen laughing when I read your comment. Sometimes truth is not only stranger than fiction, but also more hilarious. That'll be good for a laugh all week BAHhahaha Sorry about your dogs though; our Retrievers had one too many rub downs with uncounted numbers of cans of crushed tomatoes. I hope that you are doin' just great, Les x (still giggling....)
@carolmw You are so dear Carol; thank you for your appreciation, and for the Fav. This shot (taken at night) was worth all the atomic mosquito bites, and a run-in with our neighborhood skunk. :))) My best, Les x
