These photos were taken in less than a minute; Charlotte works fast! You'll notice she's snacking on a little fly, until something better came along. It was an exciting thing to see, and to photograph it was even more so. For those of you not familiar with "Charlotte's Web," it is a much-loved children's story written in 1952 by American author/poet E.B. White. It is a delightful, magical tale of farm life in which all the farm animals can talk. A Barn Spider, Charlotte A. Cavatica, is one of the main charactors, and is memorable and dear. Every Spider I encounter is called Charlotte. :)))
